Each spring, we receive applications from folks all over the Kansas City area looking to move into our community. We’re not surprised though … Highleah is a great place to live!

A safe, economical, quality way of life; that’s what you’ll find at Highleah Townhouses, Inc. We are a community formed under cooperative ownership where we take great pride in our spacious, 20 acre property. Our careful long-term planning along with superior maintenance practices make us the premier multi-family housing organization in the community.

Highleah is located 1/2 mile east of the intersection of 23rd Street and MO Highway 291 in Independence, Missouri. The west entrance to the property is directly off Swope Drive, while the east entrance can be accessed from 23rd Street. Our 330 townhouses are comprised of one, two and three bedroom units, all of which are in duplex or fourplex buildings. Each townhouse has designated parking right in front or very near your front door. Guest parking is also available throughout the complex.

One-bedroom townhouses start at $483 a month; two-bedroom units at $497 a month; and three-bedrooms at $510. These monthly payments, called carrying charges, include sewer, trash and water services.

As you probably know, living in an apartment with a dog can be a frustrating experience. They don’t have much room to play, and constantly having to struggle with a leash and stairs to go out is no fun for either of you. In a townhome, however, living with pets is a breeze! We have plenty of open space for you and your dog to enjoy … and all without the hassle of three flights of stairs to navigate.

True, we do have a few rules when it comes to pets, but cats and dogs are both welcome here. As a matter of fact, hamsters and gerbils are okay too.
